Reprise des pèlerinages catholiques
Au cours d’une conférence de presse organisée le mardi 9 mai 2023 à Ouagadougou la Commission épiscopale des pèlerinages et congrès eucharistiques (CEPCE) a annoncé la reprise des pèlerinages catholiques. Suspendus depuis 2019 du fait de la COVID-19. Par la même occasion, le président de cette commission, Mgr Paul OUEDRAOGIO, archevêque de Bobo et animateur de la dite conférence de presse a fait une mise au point à l’endroit de promoteurs privés qui, au nom de la CEPCE ont organisé de tels pèlerinages, surtout dans l’entretemps, mais avec pas mal d’inconvénients. Mgr Paul OUEDRAOGO recommande ceci aux différents pèlerins : « Pour s’inscrire à un pèlerinage catholique, le pèlerin devra toujours s’assurer que le pèlerinage qui lui est proposé figure soit sur la liste des pèlerinages organisés par la Commission Episcopale des Pèlerinages et Congrès Eucharistiques soit sur la liste des pèlerinages autorisés par la commission épiscopale des pèlerinages ». Après quoi, Mgr Paul a ainsi conclu son propos liminaire : « Ce qui nous préoccupe aujourd’hui, c’est de rappeler à tous les fidèles que la Commission épiscopale organise elle-même des pèlerinages catholiques. Et tout voyage de groupe même organisé, ne peut avoir le label de pèlerinage catholique si ce label ne lui est pas donné par la Commission épiscopale ».
